Last updated: October 4, 2026
Intra ("Intra," "we," "us," or "our") operates a curated professional advisory network that connects businesses with vetted accounting, tax, legal, finance, operations, and cross-border professionals. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information in the course of operating intraadvisors.com and our related services, in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation in British Columbia.
1. Accountability
We are responsible for the personal information under our control. We have designated a Privacy Officer accountable for our compliance with this policy and PIPEDA. Questions or concerns about our privacy practices can be directed to the contact details at the end of this policy.
2. What We Collect
We collect personal information you provide directly, including when you submit a client intake form, contact form, or otherwise communicate with us. This may include your name, organization, email address, phone number, the jurisdictions relevant to your inquiry, a description of what you are trying to accomplish, and your anticipated timing. We also collect limited technical information automatically, such as browser type and general usage data, as described in our Cookie Policy.
3. Identifying Purposes
We collect personal information to understand your advisory needs, match you with an appropriate professional or firm in our network, respond to your inquiries, maintain our relationship with you, and improve our services. We identify these purposes at or before the time information is collected, including on our intake and contact forms.
4. Consent
By submitting information through our intake form, contact form, or other communications with us, you consent to our collection, use, and disclosure of that information for the purposes described in this policy. You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions, by contacting us using the details below. Withdrawing consent may limit our ability to connect you with an advisor.
5. Limiting Collection
We collect only the personal information necessary for the purposes identified in this policy. We do not collect information indiscriminately and do not require more detail than is reasonably needed to assess and route your inquiry.
6. Limiting Use, Disclosure, and Retention
We use and disclose personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected, unless you consent otherwise or disclosure is required by law. We disclose relevant details from your intake to the specific advisor or firm in our network that we believe is best suited to your needs, so they can evaluate and respond to your inquiry.
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the identified purposes, or as required by law, after which it is securely destroyed, deleted, or anonymized.
7. Accuracy
We aim to keep personal information as accurate, complete, and up to date as necessary for the purposes for which it is used. You may request corrections to your information by contacting us.
8. Safeguards
We protect personal information with safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity, including administrative, technical, and physical measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use, or modification.
9. Openness
We make information about our privacy policies and practices readily available, as set out in this policy. You may request further detail about our practices at any time.
10. Individual Access
Upon written request, and subject to limited exceptions permitted by law, we will inform you of the existence, use, and disclosure of your personal information, and provide you with access to it. We may require verification of identity before granting access.
11. Challenging Compliance
You may direct any question or complaint about our compliance with this policy or PIPEDA to our Privacy Officer at the contact details below. If you remain unsatisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
12. Third Parties
We do not sell personal information. We share information with advisors and firms in our network only to facilitate the engagement you have requested, and with service providers who support our operations under appropriate confidentiality obligations.
13. Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
